IdeaSignals ("we", "us") publishes app ideas mined from public social media posts. This page explains what data we collect from you when you use the site, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Information we collect

Account information.If you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from your chosen provider (Google or GitHub). We don't receive or store your password with either provider.

Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — we only keep a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription IDs so we can check whether your account has active access.

Usage data. We store the ideas you save or shortlist on the board, tied to your account, so they show up when you come back.

Session cookies.A cookie keeps you signed in between visits. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics or ad trackers on the site.

How we use your information

We use this information to run the service: authenticate you, remember your saved ideas, verify subscription access, and send you account-related email (for example, a billing receipt from Stripe). We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Who we share data with

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run IdeaSignals: Google and GitHub (sign-in), Stripe (payments), and Cloudflare (hosting and database). Each only receives the data it needs to perform its function, and each maintains its own privacy policy governing that data.

The ideas themselves

The ideas on the board are derived from posts that were already public on social media (such as Reddit) at the time they were collected. Every idea links back to its original source thread. If you believe a source post should be removed from IdeaSignals, contact us and we'll review the request.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion or an export of your account data, email us at support@ideasignals.app and we'll process it promptly.

Children's privacy

IdeaSignals is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
