Yelp is the biggest scammer targeting small businesses

Yelp is *the* biggest scammer. They are so shady and predatory, especially for small business. And I fear that much like how boomers continue to think the Better Business Bureau is some kind of government oversight agency, everyone who has grown up with Yelp and a freeer internet is going to continue to think Yelp is simply a place to get info about businesses and service providers based on user rankings. I reluctantly signed up for ranked search visibility as a business a week ago, and was given a credit and told I would be billed for anything beyond that credit on 8/1. Today they charged me $176 and I have received only shady fake ‘leads’, no actual phone calls. $176 for a WEEK of ‘visibility’. I’m just griping but also want you to know that when you go to Yelp, whether as a consumer or a business, you are not getting what you think you’re getting.
